We welcome you to CLÀSSICAND. The Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture, together with the towns of Andorra la Vella and Ordino, are launching a new festival based on classical music and other disciplines of the performing arts.

And these wonderful words of the great Leonard Bernstein serve as inspiration for this first edition. In a convulsive and changing world, in a world in which human beings have the sensation of living through permanent crises, music, art and culture can light the way and give us a ray of hope. This is how this initiative was born. To light up the Andorran nights this June with a series of proposals never seen before in our country with some of the best artists on the current music and dance scene. From Anita Rachvelishvili to Yoann Bourgeois, for the first time, great musical and scenic proposals will pass through Andorra in dialogue with the other arts, seeking above all excellence. Let’s see if we can make our festival a CLASSIC event in Andorra.

Joan Anton Rechi
Artistic Director

Joan Anton Rechi is the artistic director of ClàssicAnd. After graduating from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, he began a career as a stage director that led him to direct, primarily opera, in theatres all over the world. From La Fenice in Venice to the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Andorran director continues his career that has led him to direct more than 50 productions in theatres all over the world and this season in Israel (Israeli opera), Malaga (Teatro Cervantes) and in Chemnitz and Detmold in Germany.
